Introducing Jacqui Garrett Brown
Jacqui Garrett Brown (formerly Jacqui Garret) is a Margaret River based artist, specialising in coastal landscapes as well as mermaid and fairy scenes.
She is inspired by the bright, clear light and stunning colours of the South West of Western Australia, as well as by the beauties of the female form.
Located in her forest studio hideaway in this isolated part of the South-West, she paints vivid scenes from her inner life which reflect her experience of the clear ocean waters and pounding surf of the nearby beaches.
Her lifelong fascination with the contours of the female form is also reflected in her work which depicts fairies and mermaids - sometimes tinged with eroticism.
